"新加坡總人口華人占76.9%。華裔多信奉佛教,馬來語為國語,英語,華語為官方語言。
新加坡人十分講究禮貌禮節(jié),服務質量很高。新加坡華裔在禮儀方面和我國相似,而且還保留了中國古代傳統(tǒng),比如兩人見面時,相互作揖。通常的見面禮節(jié)是鞠躬、握手。印度血統(tǒng)人仍保持印度的禮節(jié)和習俗,婦女額頭上點著檀香紅點。男人扎白色腰帶,見面時合十致意。馬來血統(tǒng)、巴基斯坦血統(tǒng)的人按伊斯蘭教的禮節(jié)行事。
華裔新加坡人信奉佛教,而且很虔誠。他們喜歡在室內誦經,誦經的時候不可以被打擾。
在新加坡隨地吐痰、扔棄物都要受到法律制裁。
